Volunteer Centre Borders (VCB) is organising a half-day workshop on the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, to provide the most up-to-date information and dispel some misconceptions.
The workshop, which will take place at Burnfoot Community Hub, Hawick, on 31st August, from 10am-1pm.
It will be facilitated by Ann Ferguson, Volunteer Scotland’s Compliance and Training Officer, alongside VCB’s own PVG Officer, Amanda Harvey.
Topics will include:
- Getting started
- The Code of Practice
- What is Regulated Work?
- Safe Recruitment
- Interpreting Disclosure Information
- Making a Referral
