The Scottish Borders Carers Planning Group has a small amount of funding to promote improved information for carers, in order to increase awareness of carers’ situations and support them to be identified as carers.
The fund has already supported the printing of the newest version of the Carer’s Handbook, published by Borders Carers Centre, and the annual Celebrating Carers events as part of Carers Week.

Decisions are made by the Carers Planning Group, which meets on a bi-monthly basis. The usual amount awarded is between £500-£2000.
