Scottish Drugs Forum’s award-winning Addiction Worker Training Project (AWTP) is now seeking applications for its 2016 intake, pending funding for the operation of the scheme within various areas, including Scottish Borders.
The AWTP is open to people with a history of problematic substance use who are interested in developing a career working in social care.
The course offers:
- placements in social care agencies
- SVQ Level 2 in Social Services and Health Care
- regular individual and group support
- training opportunities
- support with moving in to future employment.
