An event to celebrate health and wellbeing will be held on Saturday, 6th August at Tweedbank Sports complex, from 11.30am-3pm.

The Joint Health Improvement Team (Public Health) will host the BIG Lunch at Tweedbank Sports complex on Saturday 6th August, from 11:30am until 3pm.

It is aimed at the local community who want to find out more about good health. It also supports the delivery of the Healthier Me programme, which supports people who have learning disabilities and their carers and family carers to have information about good health.

Various organisations will be there, including:

  • LIVE Borders, providing opportunities to access activities to get fit, including activities for people with disabilities and group exercises
  • Walkit, to lead a walk,
  • Lifestyle and Advisor Support Service (LASS) will have an information stand and signpost to local services
  • Safer Communities
  • Healthy Living Network volunteers.
  • Fit Borders.
