Children in Scotland is proud to be one of this years Parliament Week partners, joining other organisations from across the UK in a programme of events and activities aiming to inspire, engage and connect people with parliamentary democracy.

While many of the decisions made affecting children In Scotland are taken by the Scottish Parliament, there are a number of issues reserved to Westminster that have a large impact on families, for example welfare and employment.

The Transparency of Lobbying, Non-party Campaigning and Trade Union Administration Bill could also have an impact on third sector activities in Scotland.

Children in Scoltland has organised a free event on Friday 21st November to hear from:

  • Mark Lazarowicz, MP Edinburgh North and Leith
  • Rt Hon. Lord Foulkes of Cumnock
  • Gary Hart, Parliamentary Outreach Officer, Houses of Parliament

and explore how you and the children and young people you work with and for can engage with the UK Parliament and its members more effectively. You can also find out what resources and materials
