The Independent Living Fund Scotland will launch on 1st July and will be based in Livingston.
Following the UK Government decision last year to close the Independent Living Fund, Scottish and Northern Irish Independent Living Fund service users’ awards will not change and will continue to be paid by ILF Scotland.
The work will happen in two stages:
- Ensure a smooth transition of current Independent Living Fund funding to existing Scottish users
- Focus on a new fund for new users. Work on this will begin once the Fund is up and running for current Scottish users.
The first Chief Executive is Peter Scott, formerly Chief Executive of ENABLE Scotland.
