Scottish Borders Council has approved an updated charging policy for all residential and non-residential social work services, following a review. Between April next year and January 2017, all service users will move over to a system where they will pay a contribution toward the services they receive based on what they can afford to pay. This will include people who receive Self-directed Support (SDS). All service users will receive a letter by the end of January to explain how the changes will affect them. Find out more.
