Chief Officer Social Work at Scottish Borders Council, Elaine Torrance, has been appointed as the interim Chief Officer Health and Social Care in the Borders. It follows the departure of Susan Manion, who left to take up a post in East Dunbartonshire. Elaine will have responsibility for managing services across the health and social care partnership, including primary care, mental health and learning disability services and adult social care.
